A small sum­ma­ry of how I did dur­ing the ses­sion. Things I did well. Things I need to keep work­ing on. Trade Reviews are part of my post-mortem but usu­al­ly I post those the next day.

My week­ly goals: 

• Trad­ing rules
  • Use SL scal­ing in case the prof­it tar­get for the set­up doesn’t pro­vide 2R for exam­ple for FA or VAA setups
  • No ear­ly exits, either hit SL or target

DAX — What Mar­ket Nar­ra­tive / Hypo Played Out? (Keep it short!)

• Price extend­ed in C then D and E closed slight high­er with­out mak­ing a HH
• Due to M30 Bear Engulf in the way as well as the wide IBR I don’t want to go in long although it looks like it might pop high­er. Hypo 2 prob­a­bly play­ing out. 
• F made a HH
• G took it high­er exhaust­ing ADR and H took it high­er. It could be prob­a­ble for a rever­sal com­ing up but it is late into the ses­sion and I took my lit­tle bit from the mar­ket and I’m out. 

Gold — What Mar­ket Nar­ra­tive / Hypo Played Out? (Keep it short!)

• C extend­ed below IB and took out W1 demand
• When price pulled back I went short and took a quick 1.2R
• C closed below and D closed low­er but did not make a LL
• E closed as a Bull­ish Inside bar and F test­ed IB low
• On a M5 con­sol­i­da­tion with­in IBR I took a short expect­ing price to drop below IB
• Price closed below and I took a quick 

Did I take advan­tage of any opportunities?

• DAX
  • No, did not see any­thing worth it
• Gold
  • Took a short as per Hypo 2
  • Closed at 1.2R
  • Took anoth­er short from with­in IBR
  • Closed for 0.6R

Things I did well:

• I did well to jump on the first oppor­tu­ni­ty even though I missed the break of IB
• Did well to under­stand the nar­ra­tive was still valid so I took the 2nd trade short

Things I need to keep work­ing on:

• I was upload­ing my pre­mar­ket prep so did not take a screen­shot of the 1st Gold trade
• 2nd trade did not go to tar­get but still I thought it was good I took it.
