A small sum­ma­ry of how I did dur­ing the ses­sion. Things I did well. Things I need to keep work­ing on. Trade Reviews are part of my post-mortem but usu­al­ly I post those the next day.

My week­ly goals: 

• Trad­ing rules
  • Use SL scal­ing in case the prof­it tar­get for the set­up doesn’t pro­vide 2R for exam­ple for FA or VAA setups
  • No ear­ly exits, either hit SL or target

DAX — What Mar­ket Nar­ra­tive / Hypo Played Out? (Keep it short!)

• A formed a Bull Engulf, B a Bear­ish Inside Bar, C closed low­er as well
• Pos­si­ble uni­di­rec­tion­al day
• Wasn’t pay­ing atten­tion around 2nd DTTZ for a quick Failed Auc­tion play reversal
• Do not feel sharp today and / or lack clar­i­ty in the nar­ra­tive. Gonna chill and observe instead of look­ing for a trade. 
• Hypo 4 played out

Gold — What Mar­ket Nar­ra­tive / Hypo Played Out? (Keep it short!)

• B formed a Bear Engulf, C a Bull Engulf extend­ing to both sides form­ing a Neu­tral Day
  • Just noticed going through TPO siz­ing that some sizes don’t show the exten­sion to the oppo­site side. Weird. 
• Watch­ing paint dry. Noth­ing going on. 
• G ducked below IB and made a slight LL
• Now that H TPO burst low­er mak­ing a LL the D TPO print above IB showed up again con­firm­ing the Neu­tral Day nonethe­less. Or not… weird… fuck it. 
• Hypo 2 played out

Did I take advan­tage of any opportunities?

• DAX
  • Failed to notice 2nd DTTZ Quick FA play to go long
  • When F closed as a weak Bull Engulf I did not want to go long as it had a long sell­ing wick as well as trad­ing into wide IBR as well as M15 Marubozu bear­ish Inside Bar fol­low­ing a Three Inside Up.
• Gold
  • Didn’t see a clear trade and lacked the clarity

Things I did well:

• Noticed that I lacked the clar­i­ty and I did not push myself to take a trade nonetheless

Things I need to keep work­ing on:

• I think I did well today even though my focus was off. I have been strug­gling with sleep­ing well for years so it was good to under­stand I wasn’t up to the task and just sit back and observe. 
• DAX — D1 QLo with wide IBR com­bo could have war­rant­ed a high­er rank­ing for a Long Failed Auc­tion. I not­ed it as Hypo 4.
