A small sum­ma­ry of how I did dur­ing the ses­sion. Things I did well. Things I need to keep work­ing on. Trade Reviews are part of my post-mortem but usu­al­ly I post those the next day.

My week­ly goals: 

• Trad­ing rules
  • Use SL scal­ing in case the prof­it tar­get for the set­up doesn’t pro­vide 2R for exam­ple for FA or VAA setups
  • No ear­ly exits, either hit SL or target

DAX — What Mar­ket Nar­ra­tive Played Out? (Keep it short!)

• Bull Engulf formed dur­ing IB
• C test­ed new­ly formed demand and closed high­er, when D pulled back to demand as well I went long as per Hypo 1 although with­out a break of IB. Tried get­ting an ear­ly entry.
• Did not go well and got stopped out ‑1R

Gold — What Mar­ket Nar­ra­tive Played Out? (Keep it short!)

• C extend­ed below IB and accept­ed value
• Short as per hypo 2
• D closed deep­er with­in val­ue and E took it to tar­get although upon clos­ing I hit 1R instead of 1.2R. I decid­ed to man­u­al­ly take the trade off due to the demand at VAL
• E closed as a Drag­on­fly doji / ham­mer and M15 consolidation 
• Used M5 con­sol­i­da­tion for anoth­er entry short as per Hypo 3 and price dicked out around before mov­ing low­er. I set my tar­get at 2.5R but when it hit 1.5R I took the trade off as it coin­cid­ed with a full val­ue rotation.
• Oh how I was wrong…. Price dropped hard and hit 6R…

Did I take advan­tage of any opportunities?

• DAX
  • Long as per Hypo 1

  • Short as per Hypo 2
  • Closed for 1R
  • Short as per Hypo 3
  • Closed at 1.5R

Things I did well:

• I did well keep my com­po­sure and to re-enter on the same nar­ra­tive on Gold

Things I need to keep work­ing on:

• My think­ing was that Gold would take out H4 demand, which it did, and thus I could’ve stayed in the trade as a val­ue rota­tion often tran­si­tions into a con­tin­u­a­tion in the direc­tion of the rotation. 
• I could’ve tak­en bet­ter note of the H4 VWAP in DT impli­ca­tions for the pos­si­ble H4 Phase 1 / 3. Will review as always.
