How did I trade today? 20210811

Summary: Gotta work harder in the summertime 🙂

#fintwit #orderflow #daytrading #dailyreportcard #tradinglifestyle #daytraderlife #grasshoppersanonymous #tradingforex #tradingcommodities #NEXT

A small summary of how I did during the session. Things I did well. Things I need to keep working on. Trade Reviews are part of my post-mortem but usually I post those the next day.

My weekly goals:

  • Min. 3 times working out at home + mandatory cardio
  • Trading rules
    • M15/M30 entries and exits at 1st DTTZ, M5 entries and exits at 2nd DTTZ
    • Use SL scaling in case the profit target for the setup doesn’t provide 2R for example for FA or VAA setups
  • No social media / messenger apps / phone calls allowed during the trading window

Good Pre-market routines

Good Session PECS

Fair Trade selection

Good Trade sizing or SL placement

Good Trade Execution & Mgmt.

Good Risk Adjusted Returns

Yes Daily review

Notes

DAX

  • IB traversed down, IBR 0.81xASR. C traded higher.
  • Price is trading at M30/M15/M5 QHi and made a M5 Bear engulf but failed toc lose below VWAP. I waited for a M5 Three Inside Down in line with the bear engulf closing slightly below VWAP for a short on a pullback to newly formed M5 C‑sup. When price failed to transition to M15 closing within newly formed demand I cut the trade at breakeven.

How well did I manage my physical, emotional and cognitive states?

I did well here

What did I learn today?

Then when there is responsive activity sometimes we gotta work harder to find a trade worth taking. Profit targets should be adjusted accordingly. #summertimetrading

What’s one (or more) thing(s) I need to do more often?

Take educated chances

What’s one (or more) thing(s) I need to do less often?

Take trades out of boredom. I kinda feel that I was looking to trade something, anything… I should have gone with my long bias although the prospect of going long at these levels didn’t entice me either.

Under the circumstances, did I perform at my best?

I did well today
