A small sum­ma­ry of how I did dur­ing the ses­sion. Things I did well. Things I need to keep work­ing on. Trade Reviews are part of my post-mortem but usu­al­ly I post those the next day.

My week­ly goals: 

• Trad­ing rules
  • Use SL scal­ing in case the prof­it tar­get for the set­up doesn’t pro­vide 2R for exam­ple for FA or VAA setups
  • No ear­ly exits, either hit SL or target

DAX — What Mar­ket Nar­ra­tive Played Out? (Keep it short!)

• Price extend­ed IB to the upside in C and then closed at IB high
• Some con­sol­i­da­tion and I went long as per hypo 2

Gold — What Mar­ket Nar­ra­tive Played Out? (Keep it short!)

• C extend­ed and closed below IB
• D closed as an Inside Bar with longer buy­ing wick , nor­mal­ly not a good sign but with the bear­ish sen­ti­ment as well as new H4 demand not being all that reac­tive the demand could get tak­en out.
• Went short as per Hypo 2

Did I take advan­tage of any opportunities?

• DAX
  • Long as per Hypo 2
  • E TPO closed above IB, F TPO formed a food high but closed as a Bear­ish Inside Bar although not fail­ing the auction.
  • Stick­ing with it
  • G TPO hit tar­get 1.2R
  • Price even­tu­al­ly hit 2R
• Gold
  • Short as per Hypo 2
  • Took a 1R prof­it, jumped the gun a lit­tle bit
  • Price con­tin­ued low­er hit­ting 2.5R

Things I did well:

• I did well to take 2 trades, one in each asset. Espe­cial­ly after some bad trades recent­ly. Although still com­ing out on top on most days actu­al­ly only 1 down day of ‑0.6R. 

Things I need to keep work­ing on:

• I see my trades going fur­ther than 1.2R but I feel com­fort­able tak­ing these. I think it’s also because I sit at my desk. Tak­ing 2R trades was eas­i­er when I left my desk. I’ll reassess at the end of the month if I want to trade for a high­er target.
